Hello?!?! Civil War hero? Seriously, need I say more?

That book featured the ghost of a Civil War captain falling in love with a modern day woman. I hooked up with Debbie after reading her earlier release, SPIRIT OF THE REBELLION. It’s also a fact you’ve seen SPIRIT OF THE REVOLUTION on my blog before, but my friend Debbie Peterson is now enjoying the “official release” of her paranormal romance and I couldn’t let that pass without a tip of the hat for story well told.īecause I’ve shared about the book before, I thought I’d share a bit about Debbie today (although you know the book is ultimately going to make an appearance, right?). Debbie has a great writing style that makes the book so believable and natural that I feel like I’m living in the story along with the characters. It’s Tuesday and it’s June. I’ve never done that with an author before! I study genealogy, love the mysteries of the past and ghosts, so this book got me hooked right from the start. This was the first book I read by Debbie Peterson and after reading the last page I immediately downloaded her book Spirit of the Rebellion. ! My only disappointment with all of Miss Peterson’s books is that the book has to end. What I personally love about this particular book is that I can’t wait to get home from work, snuggle up on the couch and immerse myself in a fantasy world that I can’t wait to turn to the next page. I have read several reviews that mention some historical differences but please note that this is a work of fiction. Peterson thoroughly researches all of her novels, and I love the historical aspects of each of her books. This book features everything from the miserable girl in distress with her trusted best friend and confidant and the hero with his ever-faithful group of companions. Divine intervention brought them together – will it allow them to find forever?

But someone wants the message, and he won’t stop to get it, not even murder. When Jolena’s family motto leads them to unearth a valuable encrypted message – the very message Mathias died trying to deliver to General Washington – Jolena vows to unravel the mystery surrounding the document.

Jolena is mortal and deserves more than he as a spirit can give her. Mathias McGregor died two centuries ago– Mathias, a commando and spy during the Revolutionary War, struggles with his conscience and heart as he finds himself falling in love with an invading beautiful violinist.

New divine intervention could bring Jolena Leigh Michaelsson to the doorstep of a ramshackle Pennsylvania manor, bringing her face-to-face with the man she’s waited her whole life to find. Spirit of the Revolution is a love story by author Debbie Peterson.
